Wythall Community Choir

(Worcestershire)

Wythall Community Choir would like this award to pay for music scores to form a library of music covering all genres, used to train, encourage and improve standards. Also used for the regular concerts which are provided for care homes, societies and children’s groups.

Our goals:

  • Singing has been proven to help participants both physically and mentally, a regular meeting also helps lonely people make friends and add to the quality of their life.
  • The Choir is welcoming with no auditions and is achieving high standards. Within the Choir there is a smaller singing group for venues only able to cater for restricted numbers.

How we will achieve our goals

Purchase of a wide range of scores, which are all copyright protected, will allow the choir to thrive.

Where the money will go

It will encourage an even wider choice of music to provide the community with the joyful experience of live music. Choir members gain from the training and audiences appreciate the improving standards of every performance.
