Supporting Cancer Patients in Tameside (Tameside Macmillan Unit)
The project will benefit people with cancer. Care provided in the new purpose built Tameside Macmillan Unit based at Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust is of high standard but we are in need of a vital piece of equipment to identify patients with breathing difficulties.
- The award will be used to purchase a Spirometer. This would help in a quick identification of patients with breathing difficulties, which can be an early sign of cancer related condition; improve diagnosis and treatment.
- The award would offer help directly to patients in the Community with cancer and make their experience easier.
- The Community award will help in funding a portable Spirometer to enhance service provided to cancer related patients.
How we will achieve our goals
The award would help to empower those involved in the hospital and in the Community to help support others.
Where the money will go
