Sensory Garden

My husband suffers from Dementia, and is in a care home, Hope Park House which is a non profit making charitable trust. There is a large area allocated for a new garden. There is only one handyman/gardener employed and in order to get the garden up and running and in use for the pleasure of residents in the summer, he will require a lot of help

Our goals:

  • A garden to bring pleasure to very vulnerable people.

How we will achieve our goals

A sensory and hands on garden will benefit most of the residents at Hope Park. The money would be spent laying it out and buying the approriate plants and ornament needed. The money will also allow many hands to get the garden ready for the summer, bringing pleasure to people who deserve a little enjoyment, and escape from this horrible illness.

Where the money will go

It would make a huge difference to the residents of Hope Park, because it is a non profit making charitable trust, funds for something this big is not easy to come by. These people need love and care and happiness. They do not have the capacity to do things without help, and just being able to enjoy a garden with a carer will help them to enjoy.
