Plymstock Cricket Club Training Facilities Modernisation

(Devon)

We are a community cricket club, with 4 junior sides (80 members) and 4 senior sides (60 members). Our ground is council owned and also a public park so we suffer from having to lock all equipment away after training/games. Our training facilities and equipment are in constant need of replacement or upgrade.

Our goals:

  • Provide safe training environment for all players
  • Increase participation by offering improved training facilities to attract more children and adults to join cricket club
  • Improve individuals skill levels in batting, bowling & wicket-keeping with more accessible training facilities

How we will achieve our goals

Award would fund the mobile practice net. Our ground is council owned and also a public park so we suffer from having to lock all equipment away after training/games. We would like support to purchase a mobile net which can be easily stored and rolled out for training.

Where the money will go

Increase safety of children & adults, encourage more members of our community to take up the sport. Showcase our thriving community club with new, modern facilities and show the members of public that we are continuing to improve/invest in our club/players.
