Play, Learn and Grow

(Gwent)

Research has shown that children learn through play and is an essential part of childhood development. The aim is fund a wide range of stimulating and inspiring equipment for the children at The Dell Primary School. Through play they will develop essential social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills whilst most importantly having fun!

Our goals:

  • Enhanced Learning - The equipment will enable children to explore for themselves, their ideas and how things work. It will promote independent thinking with the aim that the pupils will become learners for life.
  • Social Skills - By interacting with others through role play provision, the pupils learn to understand the importance of communication, cooperation and empathy. All of which are essential elements of growing and understanding the world around them.

How we will achieve our goals

The award would enable indoor and outdoor equipment to be purchased. Play scene activity panels would stimulate imaginative outside play in a fun, safe environment. Indoor equipment will facilitate independent, creative thinking for children to learn about themselves, peers and the world around them all through the magic of play.

Where the money will go

The Dell Primary School desperately requires new equipment to replace broken and poor condition resources which the school is unable to fund. The new play facilities would enhance the learning experience of the pupils at the beginning of their learning journey which will give them the best start to their lives. Education is life changing!
