Kidlington Community Hub at St John’s
The Kidlington Community Hub started in early 2017 to run and host child and parent groups in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. The Community Hub provides services to children and their carers including: 0-5 year, Mothers and Toddlers groups, parent education classes, and community child health clinic. The funds will be used to provide toys for the groups.
- The aim is to provide activities & play, information and professional support for local children and their families. The funding will transform the toys available for the Hub's Children - we will upgrade and increase the playthings in the group.
- Provide high quality free services to families in the Kidlington area
- Give children in the local community an opportunity to have fun in a safe environment
How we will achieve our goals
With a community award we will invest in a new set of playthings for users. A key aim for the hub is to provide activities & play, information and professional support for local children and their families. With the award we can extend the range of activities and play the Hub can provide.
Where the money will go
Since the local children’s centre closure, the Community Hub has filled a gap in parent and childcare provision. The Hub provides services such as 0-5 year group, Mothers and Toddlers groups, parent education classes, and a community child health clinic. Investing in the facilities will benefit many children and their families in the area.
