Impact 100 - Helping people with Dementia through arts
The Creation Station is developing a campaign called Impact 100 – to create positive outcomes for people and families struggling with Dementia through arts and crafts activities.
- To support 100 people and their carers and families who struggle with Dementia, with a fun and beneficial programme of art and crafts activities.
- By theoretical and practical research we aim to explore best-practice and develop a programme that has the greatest positive impact on all those affected by Dementia.
- Create top tips and ideas to share freely with others who suffer with Dementia or are showing early onset of the disease.
How we will achieve our goals
Hands-on creative activities in a nurturing environment can positively support people with Dementia. Due to the emotional, physical and social benefits of our creative approach we see that there is an opportunity for us to apply our skills and knowledge to help those who are affected by Dementia.
Where the money will go
There are 850,000 people with Dementia in the UK. 225,000 will develop Dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes. This means that as we live longer we will all know someone who has Dementia. We want to create positive outcomes for people and families struggling with Dementia through arts and crafts activities.
