Gazegill education project

(Lancashire)

The project is part of a care farm on an organic working farm. It will benefit adults with a range of mental illnesses and disabilities.

Our goals:

  • To furnish the shepherd's hut to provide an accessible, calm and relaxing environment.
  • A minibus will enable the project to be more accessible.
  • To increase the health and wellbeing of the people attending the project.
£10k project Currently ranked 28 in Health, Disability and Social Care

How we will achieve our goals

The award would enable the Shepherds’s hut to be completed and the minibus is vital for accessibility.

Where the money will go

People with health difficulties and disabilities in a rural environment and their carers can feel very isolated. The project will provide an opportunity to socialise in a healthy organic environment.

Gazegill farm offers a excellent opportunity for visitors to come along and learn information on a whole raft of subjects.
