Devon Rural Hub
Our independent charity provides training & personal development for young people between the ages of 10 -26.Through 38 clubs our 1600 plus members & 460 volunteers are based in communities throughout Devon. The charity has acquired a redundant building to convert into a HQ & training centre for members, the local community & likeminded organisations
- To provide an disabled entrance & access to the building
- To provide two hot desk computers, printer, desks and computer chairs for public and members use.
- To provide an overhead Projector and interactive screen for training purposes.
How we will achieve our goals
In order to make this centre accessible to all the charity would like support with funds to provide disabled access, hot desk computers which will also be made available for public use, & an overhead projector/screen for use in the current 64 (to be increased) training courses available.Without this grant it is unlikely we can provide these services
Where the money will go
This funding would allow us to provide a wider and much needed service to the rural community in Devon and at the same time provide skills training to our members using modern IT equipment, thereby improving their knowledge and employment opportunities. This important part of our project will be difficult to deliver without this grant.
