Cambusnethan Talbot Community Football Club

Cambusnethan Community club have over 200 children over 8 football teams. We have 56 coaches at the moment. There are 42 datazones in North Lanarkshire that are within the worst 11% -15%, the more severely deprived neighbourhoods in Scotland. We aim to keep the cost as low as possible for parents.

Our goals:

  • New strips - all children will receive a full new kit including socks, shorts and tops.
  • All coaches will attend various locations depending on the date to complete the required level of SFA Coach Education.
  • First Aid courses - all coaches will attend First Aid training to ensure the safety of the children at the club.

How we will achieve our goals

All children will receive new strips. We will be ensuring that all coaches will have the required level of SFA Coach Education to develop the children. We are also ensuring the kids safety by training all coaches in first aid.

Where the money will go

Having this grant will ensure that we can keep the costs for the parents to an affordable level in an are with a high level of unemployment. This also allows the club to provide the best opportunities for the kids. This will help with the health and well being. It also gives them an opportunity to mix socially with a mixture of age groups.
