Activ8 Trampolining: Vital Equipment Replacement

(West Midlands)

Activ8 Trampolining are a local club who pride themselves on their inclusive nature for the whole community, meaning fees are very low to ensure accessible participation in a deprived area. One of our trampolines is over 15 years old, and due to safety will shortly no longer be useable. Without replacement 60 spaces per week will have to be lost!

Our goals:

  • Protect 60 spaces per week currently at risk due to old equipment. Due to safety our oldest trampoline (15 yrs old) will soon be unusable, meaning the people currently using it would lose their space. As such a new trampoline will be purchased.
  • Support our national and international competitors. By purchasing a competition standard trampoline they will no longer be disadvantaged by training on old equipment. Our current squad trampoline would be used to replace our oldest trampoline.
  • Continue to offer top level coaching to all our members at a very low cost. Without funding our membership costs would have to increase as we could not afford the replacement equipment, making our club less accessible to the more deprived members.

How we will achieve our goals

As club fees remain inclusively low, we only just cover our running costs. As such saving for expensive replacement equipment is hard. If we were to receive funding it would enable purchase of vital new equipment, preventing the loss of 60 spaces per week, while also supporting our national and international performers to achieve their potential.

Where the money will go

Our club encourages all ages and abilities to participate including disability participants, with 5 competing nationally. We have 300+ members, several competing national and international. Funding will prevent the loss of 60 spaces per week due to broken equipment, as well as providing the best opportunity for our high level performers to succeed.
