4th St Albans Scout Group Camping Equipment Fund

(Hertfordshire)

4th St Albans Scout Group has doubled in size in the last year. We now have more younger members who require tents that they feel comfortable in when they camp for the first time with integral ground sheets. Our present equipment is old and needs replacing. Help us allow more young people to experience the adventure of camping and the outdoors.

Our goals:

  • Buy camping equipment to allow us to take more young people on camping trips
  • Increase the number of young people who can enjoy adventurous activities outdoors
  • Increase the range of different types of camps and expeditions we can take young people on.

How we will achieve our goals

The award allow us to to take more young people camping as we will have the camping equipment we so desperately need. Camping allows our girls and boys to enjoy the adventure of being away from home, challenge themselves and try new activities.

Where the money will go

This project will make a difference to 4th St Albans Scout Group which has members aged between 6 and 14 years old who are from every cultural, religious and socioeconomic background and welcomes girls and boys . The group is a member of the UK Scout Association which promotes not only adventure but also community service by its members.

These groups deserve this. It gives the youth of today a chance to build friendships, boost confidence and support the hard work that goes on behind it all. Good Luck x
