1084 Flight Simulator Project
The design and construction of a mobile flight simulator based on the BAE Hawk, using the Squadron’s own Martin Baker Ejector seat and a Hawk Canopy, providing a vividly strong symbol of activities and challenging activities in the Squadron. It will be used by cadets within the Squadron and as a recruitment tool at festivals, carnivals and fetes.
- To design and build a flight simulator based on an original Hawk canopy and Martin Baker ejector seat - to give a full scale representation of a Red Arrows Hawk cockpit
- To provide opportunities to cadets for a real world experience of delivering a significant project, which they would use as part of the flight experience training.
- Being portable, based on a trailer, it would provide a 'hub' for tent based 'Air Traffic Control' consoles for enhanced interactive flight simulation.
