The latest news from The OneFamily Foundation

We have been busy working with our customers helping them support causes close to their heart. As a result of our latest round of Community Awards, nearly £180,000 has been allocated to projects up and down the country throughout 2015. Read all of our latest news here!

Four OneFamily customers secured awards of up to £25k for their chosen community projects, following the nomination and voting. We celebrated with our winners at dedicated events throughout November.

Our community award winners were in four categories; Schools, Youth and affiliated organisations, Sports and social groups and Health, Disability and social care.

First of all, Riverside Primary School was granted £25k to save their swimming pool, which had fallen into disrepair.

West Fife Fencing club now have the money for dedicated premises for use by its members as well as the wider community.

Sand, Sun and Special Needs wanted to raise enough money to purchase a specially adapted caravan in Skegness, so that families with disabled children can benefit from free holiday accommodation.

Newquay Rowing Club

Finally, an impressive response by Newquay Rowing Club’s members and supporters ensured they secured a £25k award so they could fund new community facilities.

In addition, 16 awards of £5,000 have been distributed to community projects that were nominated by OneFamily customers and secured the most votes.

Developing skills category

As a result of this years’ amazing Community Awards, we’re delighted to announce a new category for 2016. Our Developing Skills award category has been designed for individuals who need training and development or accreditation so they can pass on their skills and benefit their local community. For example, becoming a sports coach or working with youth groups.

East Kilbride Gymnastics Club
